Minnesota BBP Compliance Guide

The Hook MDH approval is required for any setting hosting body art services — conventions, fairs, festivals, and mobile studios are commonly cited paths to violations. Minnesota's mobile-class facility registration is a separate pathway under MN Rules 4715; a fixed-salon OSHA cert alone is not enough.

Minnesota Requirements at a Glance

Annual Renewal Every 12 months; certificate must come from an MDH-approved provider.
Mobile / Event Reg. MN Rules 4715 mobile-class registration with per-event sanitation log.
Initial Training 2-hour minimum session within 10 working days of assignment (OSHA).
