Texas BBP Compliance Guide

For tattoo artists, piercers, PMU artists, and studio owners
The Hook Tex. HSC Ch. 761 requires 3-year retention of adult client records — consent, ID copy, procedure, aftercare, and any complications. Install-date and ink/pigment lot traceability is the most-cited inspection deficit. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030(h) sets a parallel 3-year floor on training records.
